On Nuremberg Trials, Nature of Human and Evil, The Idiot by Dostoyevsky and the world we live in.

I watched the movie Nuremberg today and it made me dive into a rabbit hole of the nature of narcissism, its interconnection with delusion and its display in a social setting made me think about nazism and the nature of evil. A very interesting quote from the movie by R.G Collingwood that still sticks with me is as follows - "The only clue to what man can do is what man has done." And this is enough wisdom to let a person move confidently with their day to battle the anxieties of the world and achieve self-awareness and awareness of the world. To me that is enough. Tragedies and anxieties, along with happiness and joy and the miracle of the existence of the universe is the natural order. It is the truth, we shall experience it all and reach to more understanding to ourselves as we get more conscious. Enlightenment is some sort of a way towards this self-awareness. Along the way, one becomes more powerful, as they become more aware. But with this power also comes great responsibility. A responsibility that lies at the minds of the human with a judgement. This judgement is caused by experiences. This judgement influences that responsibility. This judgement is measured by ignorance. But ultimately you must seek awareness, so you do become powerful. Sometimes you take the other journey and try to become more powerful and become aware. Again, in such situations, if you come from poor judgement, poor shall happen for you like the Nazis and the Delusion with Hitler. I do not believe that is the Nietzschean idealistic.

But instead of channeling that for self awareness we often witness the use of self-delusional power to satisfy ones own giddy humanistic tendencies.

Can this person in the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom and self-awareness be a good person? Is that what dostoyevsky tries to explore in the Idiot? What does that tell us about the idiot? Is it better to pursue good than great?
